I love this gym! I drive 20 minutes out of the way just to come here even though there are at least 4 or 5 other gyms closer to my house! The staff is always friendly, recognizes me and says hello when I come in or leave. People come here to work! You don't see people worried about what they look like or being judgy, you see people lifting! I'm super comfortable here!! They don't have AC but I come to sweat anyway so it doesn't bother me! 5 stars!
This place is awesome! Some people think it's intimidating but once you go, you'll quickly learn it's not at all. The owners are very kind and make you feel welcomed. Also the people there are cool too. It is a place you can get motivated to push yourself beyond what you thought. You get to see some amazing, dedicated people who put in the work and it shows. You'll really start to understand why consistency is important and you won't want to give up. This is my kind of gym! Thanks Todd and Jon for having a gym that provides real motivation!
Great gym with great staff. Gets a little hot in the summer. But I'd you are looking to sweat that helps i guess. They offer personal training. Boxing classes upstairs and a nutrition store attached to the building as well. Recommend for motivated people. This isn't crunch or planet fitness.. come to work out!
Had the opportunity not only to workout here, but have an experience I will never forget. Came all the way from El Paso, Tx to attend the "Shawn Ray Muscle and Fitness Camp" where I got to meet some of the Greats and Legends in the world of body building. Gained a lot of great knowledge and met a lot of great humble people. The gym in itself is vintage to the point where you feel as if you were in the era of the legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and more. I hope to be afforded the opportunity to go back and workout at Worlds Gym in the near future. Thank you for everything.
This is a stellar gym if you're serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting and you have the right mindset. This gym and its culture isn't for everyone. If you're looking for a place that'll let you buy an overpriced Gatorade after you messed around on the treadmill for 30 minutes with the A/C on full blast in your face while you watched Judge Judy than this place isn't for you. There are plenty of other fine establishments that will cater to that routine. This isn't a health club of that nature. If you're looking to lift some weights around other people who are also there to lift weights then you'll fit right in and likely have no issues. If you can check your entitlements, check your ego, check your sensitivities, and are serious about pumping some iron then this is the spot for you.
My home gym. It's pretty rad here. People are great, price is great, trainers available for hire if you need an extra push or game plan. All the equipment you need with a local family community based feel. Come get it done at a real gym!
World Gym Vista is a great gym with fantastic staff and ownership. The equipment is maintained in great working order, and there is a complete variety so you can thoroughly work every muscle group. They also have a host of very qualified trainers that can help you out. They recently were gracious enough to allow my company to conduct a photo shoot. The gym was the perfect backdrop.
This place is fantastic. It's a no BS kind of gym. They have everything you need. I have not once ever had to wait for a squat rack or bench press. Anyone who lifts knows how much of a pain that can be. I don't even live in vista any more. I drive from Fallbrook to lift here.
Never a bad workout. Ever. I love World Gym's ..Nothing compares in San Diego. Period.
It's a real local gym with great equipment and you have access to the best and most knowledgeable trainers in North San Diego County. I have 45 years of fitness experience and I prefer to train at World Gym Vista.
Great environment, the old school feel is welcoming plus the people who go are there to lift and better themselves. If you want a gym where you take selfies and leave then go to planet fitness. But if you want an environment where the people are committed to their goals and people have legitimate experience then this place is for you.
A very well rounded gym, they have equipment you won't find elsewhere. Only thing they don't have wi fi but it is a kick ass place to work out at.
I was in the area for a week. I was looking for a gym that was open on Sunday's and allowed Powerlifting. World Gym was excellent. Plenty of quality equipment. Friendly and courteous staff. Helpful clientele.
Best gym around. Everyone who goes here actually comes to the gym to work out and not socialize! No attitudes from the staff or clients.... Just hard work everywhere.
One of the newest members said it best! When I asked him why he chose World Gym Vista after having tried out all the other gyms in the area, he said "This is the kind of gym Rocky would workout in!". Despite being a "Hardcore" gym, a wide range of age groups workout here. There exists a sense of comradery, where everyone is like family, and regardless of your goal, you are treated with respect. If you are serious about fitness, this is the gym for you!

I got to visit this gym this past weekend. It has a good sized weight room and an awesome upstairs fight training area with tons of weight bags, a combat rope and padded floors. The gym staff amd owner Gabe are all stand up guys as well. I would definitely stop here for a training session next time I'm in the area. While you're there, check out the attached supplement shop called Empire supps. John is the owner there and from what I saw, he was cutting some pretty good deals.
Staffing makes all the difference! I know it's not the World Gym San Diego but it was still a very nice gym with a very good vibe!
Five star rating is definitely in order! This gym has so much equipment that I just couldn't get in a commercial gym (such as the donkey calf raise machine) that the extra traveling time is no sweat. Also great if you are into plyometrics, crossfit, cycling, MMA, etc as it has all necessary equipment too! It's friendly staff makes it all the more welcoming & a must do if you're in North County!!!
